Aims and ambitions
Looking back on the 2008 season, all in all, it was a superb year. I had trained like never before and somehow, we managed to put together a bike that was very competitive, on such a small budget. We started the season very slow, having done very little testing with another team. We eventually parted company with the team due to safety reasons, and I managed to get some help from my sponsors and just about got a bike out on track that was capable.
The season was full of positives and negatives, obviously the season was great, to get 4 wins is a dream for me, based on the start. We never thought that we would be running up front throughout the season. My aim was obviously to win the series, but we werent sure that, on the budget we had, we would be able to be competitive.

I learnt so much in 2008, and it really was a dream season. We had some negative points which is completely normal in a season, the real key was how we bounced back from our problems, and almost always, we came back fighting. It was certainly a great season, and one i wont forget for a long time!

2009 Season
For the 2009 season I will be competing in the British Supersport Cup series. This is a 'race within a race' which runs in the main British Supersport series. With the experience I have on the Yamaha R6, I believe I have the ability to win the series, and also get some all important top 5 positions in the main Supersport Championship.
I will be running under AGB Transport Racing for 2009, which is my own team. We have managed to secure help from some high-end companies over the winter, and secured my ride in the Supersport Cup. The team and I have a great pedigree and we certainly have the know-how to put a bike on track that is capable of winning.
It is going to be one of the toughest racing seasons ever, with some high end factory teams also competing, but I intend to show everyone what I am capable of. I have been spending hundreds of hours training in the gym over winter, and this should pay dividends when I get onboard the bike.
