Bad setup and 'school boy' errors cost Robbie a podium
Robbie is heading home from Cadwell Park this evening with many things in his mind, one of which is 'if only i did ...!'

Robbie thought he had the perfect setup for the race, and after a flying start, things seemed to be going to plan, he managed to get to 2nd behind Jimmy Hill and tried to keep with him, but was then left in a lonely 2nd position, and then the pace car came out.

Robbie maintained his second position when the pace car returned to the pits but he could'nt bridge the gap between himself and Jimmy. He put in some impressive lap times but things didn't look safe. Still, Robbie battled on and managed to hold 3rd after being passed by Chris Northover, however, on the last lap into the hairpin, Robbie made a mistake going down the gears which allowed championship leader Lee Johnston to pass by, pushing him down to 4th and falling even more behind on the points table.

"I am absolutely gutted to be off the podium here. I rode really well all weekend but things weren't right for the race, i just wasn't able to match the pace to that of Jimmy Hill, taking nothing away from these guys, its definately one of the hardest championships in britain and you cant give an inch. I feel a little embarrassed for the mistakes i made on the last lap, but its easy to look back and say 'if only i did this or that' I just need to focus on whats important, the championship table. Obviously its a bummer to have Lee finish in front of me, but the title isn't over till its over! So we have a little break now until Croft, and i have one one thing in my mind and that is to win!" explained Robbie

So now its onto Croft, where Robbie hopes to repeat his early season form and get back in the title chase.
